RAWANG, June 12: Selayang Municipal Council (MPS) raided three business premises that did not have licence to operate in this city which are believed to offer “extra” massage services by women apart from reflexology massage treatments.

During the raid on one of the ‘reflexology centre’ outlets, MPS authorities detected a woman, who is believed to be a foreign national, on the premises.

MPS Assistant Enforcement Officer, C Paramasivam said that the operation was carried out after obtaining information from the public and when they had identified the target.

According to him, the operation involved 63 MPS enforcement officers.

“All three premises were identified to not possess business licences issued by MPS. All charges were made under Section 3 of the MPS Beauty Centre Laws 2007.

“The fine imposed on the parties involved is RM1,000,” he told the media after the operations.

Paramasivam explained that among the items seized are chairs, tables, mattresses and reflexology chairs.

He said that the three premises were raided by MPS and are prohibited from conducting business after this.

The operations, he said, are on-going every month to combat such businesses.

It is understood that those conducting the businesses were renting the premises from the owner of the buildings.
