SHAH ALAM, June 15: The State Government intends to complete and improve some things under the Local Authority (LA) administration to fulfil the Five-Year Action Plan for the Selangor State LA Standing Committee (First Draft).

This includes providing local bus services at the local authority level and coordinating bylaws for e-licenses for business buildings.

The Executive Councillor for Local Government, Studies and Research, Datuk Teng Chang Khim in a press conference said that among other drafts identified is to improve the auditing and monitoring system behaviour.

In addition, focus is also given to the improvement of work for LA workers and swiftlet licensing.

“This effort will be coordinated for the whole state where we will discuss from time to time on the matter.

“Regarding the swiftlet licensing, the State Government will meet with swiftlet business operators before making a final decision.

“The details will be announced later when we have concrete step,” he said after a meeting session with the Shah Alam City Council yesterday.

The local bus service will be implemented as promised in the Selangor Pakatan Rakyat 13th General Election manifesto.
