Water Disruptions for Over Two Days Involves 70,000 Consumers in Selangor, KL

SHAH ALAM, June 18: Several areas in the Klang Valley and Hulu Selangor will be experiencing water disruptions for more than two days starting from 8am to 8pm on Thursday.

This is to carry out conversion and improvement works of the clean water pump valve at the Phase 1 Sungai Selangor Water Treatment Plant.

According to the press release by the Selangor Water Supply Company (Syabas), maintenance work will take 8 hours while the restoration of the water supply will take 48 hours.

Syabas expects that this partial decommissioning will result in water supply disruptions affecting over 74,890 consumers in Kuala Lumpur, Bukit Damansara, Gombak, Hulu Selangor and Petaling.

As a preliminary step, Syabas has readied their staff to face this scheduled decommissioning, including putting on standby 42 tankers as well as to provide 525 static tanks.

Gombak Region
Bandar Sri Damansara; Kepong Industrial Park; Tago Industrial Area; Sunway SPK; Wangsa Permai; Desa Park City; Taman Bukit Maluri; Manjalara Kepong; Desa Aman Puri; Medan Putra; Country Heights Damansara and Sunway SPK Harmoni 3.
