New FAS Secretary Aims for Selangor to Win Malaysia Cup 2013

SHAH ALAM, July 25: Winning the Malaysia Cup 2013 is the target of the New Secretary General for the Football Association of Selangor (FAS), Rosman Mohd Ibrahim.

Rosman was appointed the new Secretary General of the association to replace Datuk Hamidin Mohd Amin, who was appointed as the Secretary General for the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) on July 1,

He will also work with the Exco in charge of Youth and Sports, Dr Ahmad Yunus Hairi for the long-term planning for football in Selangor.

The announcement of Rosman’s appointment was made by the Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim in a press conference at Rosman appointment announcement made by Chief Minister Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim in a press conference at the House of the Selangor Economic Action Council (SEAC) here.

Abdul Khalid, who is also the President of FAS, said that he hopes that Rosman would carry out his duties well to develop football in Selangor.

“We choose someone who can perform FAS tasks efficiently and effectively.

“I hope that all committee members of FAS would see the ability of Selangor in the football championship and the effort to develop the sport,” said Abdul Khalid.

Rosman, 50, used that be the Assistant to the Secretary General of FAS from 200 to 2004 before being appointed as the Business Manager of FAS to handle the Petronas petrol station owned by the association to this day.

Previously, the three candidates tipped to fill the hot seat which was held by Hamidin since 1998 were the two Assistants to the Secretary General of FAS currently, Hamdan Hashim and Raja Restam Azhar Raja Jaafar, and FAS Exco, Rosman Mohd Ibrahim.
