Najib Plagiarises another Israeli Slogan?

KUALA LUMPUR, August 22: The latest slogan ‘Endless Possibilities’ introduced by the Prime Minister is said to be plagiarised from the slogan used by Israel, Keadilan Daily reports.

Several blogs reported that ‘Endless Possibilities’ is a slogan used by the Israeli Ministry of Tourism to promote the country on 22 April 2013.

The campaign is said to have begun early this year, but the launch is expected to be done on 17 September. The Malaysian Insider Portal understands that all ministers have been informed of the matter.

Yesterday, Datuk Seri Najib Razak was reported saying that ‘Endless Possibilities’ is not to replace ‘1Malaysia’, rather to complement the slogan. Therefore, after this, the slogan will read ‘1Malaysia, Endless Possibilities’.

Several blogs have raise claims that the consulting firm contracted to create the logo and the theme was paid RM30 million, however the claims could not be ascertained.

Citing the Malaysian Insider report, it is understood that Pos Malaysia has already planned to launch new stamps with the slogan.

Sources say that the new campaign begins after the prestigious World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland and a number of Malaysian Tourism programmes.

The connection with the new slogan with the Israeli slogan has also been reviewed by pro-Umno bloggers such as outsidethebox.blogspot.com and Jebatmustdie.wordpress.com.

The government was also criticised for engaging an Israeli consultation company, Apco World Wide, to help restore the government’s image with a payment of RM77 million a year. – Keadilandaily.com Government criticized as Israel engaged a consultant, Apco World Wide to help restore its image with payment of RM77 million a year. – Keadilandaily.com
