GOMBAK SEPT 27th: To ease the burden of handling the overwhelming number of orphans at the Nur Qaseh Home Shelter, the Selangor State Government is making contributions to facilitate the day-care centre’s management.

The contribution, in the form of a refrigerator, was presented by the Welfare and Women’s Affairs Exco, Rodziah Ismail, at the home at Taman Melawati nearby yesterday.

According to Rodziah, the state’s aid does not focus only on money, but rather constructing a much needed aid care centre.

“This is just the beginning. We will continue to communicate with the care manager in the future.
“There is still a lack of shelters in terms of infrastructures, so we will make them a priority,” she added.

The Nur Qaseh Home Shelter is helmed under the Nur Qaseh Welfare and Protection Association Malaysia. There are 20 orphans in the premises, as well as over 100 orphans registered to participate in various programmes.

Thanking the founder of Rumah Nur Qaseh, Roslida Che Weail said they never received any special contributions from any parties, including the Social Welfare Department (SWD) and other agencies.

“Since its inception three years ago, I never received any aid. So with this contribution, I would like to express our sincerest gratitude,” she said.
