CM Dinner with 120 Sabah PKR Delegates

SHAH ALAM, 25 Nov: About 120 delegates from the Sabah Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) attended the Special National Congress 2013 which was celebrated with a dinner at the Chief Minister’s residence yesterday.

The Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, said that the event aims to strengthen ties between the two states and how Selangor’s success after taking over the state administration can be made an example and disseminated to the people of Sabah.

He said that he believes in the success shown will provide opportunities and success in the 14th General Election (GE-14).

“After five years, we have built a more and more advanced state and this effort shows the strength of Pakatan Rakyat (PR).

“I believe this opportunity can be shown to our friends in Sabah and we can achieve the success,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Sabah PKR Chief, Datuk Seri Lajim Ukin, said that Abdul Khalid’s leadership should be emulated by the delegates from Sabah and Selangor’s success can be an inspiration to the state’s PKR to work hard in order to achieve victory in the GE-14.

“We need to emulate Selangor and we must fully believe that we will be able to obtain victory in the upcoming election.

“I believe with this new chapter, we will be able to emulate Abdul Khalid’s leadership and hope that he will visit us to help achieve success like Selangor. We are also ready to help him in his fight for reforms in Malaysia,” he said.
