103 Individuals Receive Selangor Honorary Medals and Stars

KLANG, 11 Dec: A total of 103 individuals of various backgrounds were awarded Selangor honorary medals and stars in conjunction with the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah’s birthday celebrations which took place at Balairung Seri of the Shah Alam Palace today.

The ceremonial event was attended by the royal family, state leaders, state government leaders, including the Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, the Executive Councillor line-up, members of the State Legislative Assembly (Assemblymen) and government officers as well as those from private companies.

3.1

Leading the list of medal recipients were the Sime Darby Group Berhad Chief Executive Officer, Tan Sri Datuk Mohd Bakke Salleh and the Managing Director of Kumpulan Senireka Sdn Bhd, Datum Ar Nik Mohamed Nik Mahmood, both receiving the Seri Paduka Mahkota Selangor (SPMS) which carries the title Datuk Seri.

Also receiving the same award was the Chief Secretary to the Government, Tan Sri Datuk Seri Dr Ali Hamsa. However, he was unable to attend due to being out of the country.

The Chief Commissioner of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), Tan Sri Abu Kassim Mohamed, was conferred the Datuk Setia-Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah (SSIS) award, which carries the title “Datuk Setia “.

Also receiving the SSIS was the Director of the Short Film ‘Adrenalin’, Colin Salem Parbury, as well as Aubry Rahim Mennesen, both Sultan Sharafuddin’s sons-in-law.

At the same time, 11 individuals received the Darjah Kebesaran Datuk Paduka Mahkota Selangor (DPMS) award which carries the title “Datuk” for men and “Datin Paduka” for women, while 13 other received the Dato’ Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah (DSIS) award which also carried the same title.

3.2

Sultan Sharafuddin also bestowed the Darjah Kebesaran Setia Mahkota Selangor (SMS) to 13 individuals and the Darjah Kebesaran Setia-Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah (SIS) to 15 individuals.

A total of 19 individuals received the Darjah Kebesaran Ahli Mahkota Selangor (AMS) and 19 others received the Darjah Kebesaran Ahli-Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah (AIS).

He also bestowed the Bintang Perkhidmatan Cemerlang (BPC) to seven senior government officers who displayed outstanding service at the federal and state government levels.
