Keadilan Daily reported that Tian Chua said that the date is the final round for campaign staff to collect letters opposing the DBKL assessment tax and will be submitted directly to his headquarters at Jalan Raja Laut.

“Anyone who has yet to fill out the letter of protest prior to this can fill it at the said time,” he said.

He is now going around Kuala Lumpur to collect protest letters to be submitted on 16 December.

On 18 November, DBKL distributed a notice that they are revising the value of the assessment tax for homeowners and premises in Kuala Lumpur, where the rate of the increase is estimated to be over 100 percent, starting January 2014.
