Selangor DAP Youth Sends Aid to Flood Victims

PETALING JAYA, 11 Dec: Selangor DAP Youth are not left out in sending relief goods to the flood victims in Mentakab, Pahang.

Selangor DAP Youth Chief, Chua Yew Choong, said that they decided to send aid as the flood situation this time is very serious.

“If fact, our friends there have also informed that there is a shortage of essential items. So, we decided to send this aid last week.

“In addition to essential items, we also collected RM400 in cash, and cheques will be counted later on,” he said in a press statement at the Selangor DAP headquarters in Petaling Jaya yesterday.

Quoting from Roket Kini, the contribution consisting of food and dry goods, such as clothes and blankets, were collected at the Selangor DAP headquarters on Saturday and Sunday before being sent to Mentakab by a three-tonne lorry.

Also accompanying them is the Selangor DAP Treasurer, Chan Huan Guan, the DAP Organisational Secretary, Mohamat Samat and his Assistant Secretary, Fidraus Babh.

Firdaus Babh hopes that the contribution is able to reduce the burden shouldered by the victims.

“The Selagor DAP Youth are trying to do all they can to help. Youth Selangor DAP is trying to do what they can to help. Hopefully this will ease their burden a little,” he said.
