KLANG, 9 Feb: Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim said the statement by the Leader of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR), Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, regarding the position of Chief Minister of Selangor is a normal matter which could be discussed at the Pakatan Rakyat (PR) leader’s meeting.

He said that the matter should be discussed through the PR process to reach consensus before any decision is made.

“We do not want to reduce any discussion on the matter,” he said after the Chinese New year 2014 Open House Celebration at the Bukit Tinggi Giant hypermarket today.

Recently, in an interview with local and international media, it was reported that Anwar said that there is the possibility of him replacing Abdul Khalid; however, it needs to be discussed together at the PR meeting because it involves the Sultan of Selangor.

At the same time, Abdul Khalid denied that he has a clash in understanding with the PKR Vice President, Azmin Ali, regarding the dismissal of 22 employees of the Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) recently.

He said that any decision made on the issue will be done according to the law and what is enshrines in the PKNS Enactment.

“There is no issue of dispute with Azmin because all actions done was through the PKNS Enactment under the State Executive Council. So, any decision has to go through the State Executive Council,” he said.
