KAJANG, 5 Feb: Although the Kajang State Legislative Assembly (DUN) By-Election drums have yet to formally resonate, the candidate from Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR), Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, has started work by approaching local residents and introducing himself.

Located at the Kajang DUN Community Centre, Anwar was clearly happy to be reunited with writer, Abdul Rahman Rukaini, who’s famous masterpiece “Antara Pengganas dan Mujahidin Tulen; Siri Al-Qardhawi Membela Islam”.

Abdul Rahman was moved by Anwar’s memory, coupled with his situation of being frail and needing to use a wheelchair to move around.

At the same time, Anwar was relieved by the positive response when facing local community groups of over 100 people.

As a representative of the people, Anwar is ready to focus bringing up the people’s issues, especially in Kajang.

“Problems exclusively concerning Kajang needs to be resolved by the state government and the federal government. I will take on the trust and appeal for local problems to be raised,” he said.
