Anwar: Thuggish Politics Alarmingly Escalating in Malaysia

KAJANG, 9 Feb: The Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Leader, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, said that he will visit Kajang to continue the fight against political thuggery which has heightened recently.

He said that unity in Malaysia should be better, including association in terms of politics, especially in a country that has long practiced racial harmony.

“It should have gotten better with time. But the longer it is, the worse it got and I want to fight against political thuggery, that is why I will visit Kajang,” he said.

At the same time, Anwar also expressed support for the Member of Parliament of Seputeh, Teresa Kok, and asked for her to continue fighting despite facing attack threats.

He said that Islam itself promotes peace and well-being.
