‘Janji Dicapati’, TV3 Deliberately Shames Najib?

KAJANG, 10 Feb: The Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak, has been reminded to not repeat the act of scattering political promises which are false such as solving the water issue in Kelantan after winning the 13th General Election (GE13).

The recommendation was made by the former Member of Parliament for Batu Berendam, Datuk Mohd Tamrin Abdul Ghafar, when Najib failed to resolve the water issue in Pahang as reported by the Umno-owned television station, TV3, not long ago.

“I watched the video. Najib was speaking in Kelantan before the elections and he said that he will give us power and solve the water problem in Kelantan. Suddenly, with the power of Allah, TV3 broadcast the water problem in Pahang, which still can be seen on YouTube and now, Najib has been humiliated by TV3.

“When speaking in Kelantan, a Felda area in Pahang was forced to use water from wells, the river and by digging up soil. For 25 years the people there have protested, but until now it has not been resolved and this is also the song played in Selangor,” he said in front of about 00 Kajang residents who were present at the Launching of the Kajang State Legislative Assembly (DUN) By-Election Machinery recently.

Barisan Nasional (BN) also has a record of poor water management when it caused Johor to suffer losses of billions of ringgit by agreeing to sell raw water at a rate of three cents for 1,000 gallon and buy back clean water at 50 cents for the same quantity.

Touching on the petrol price hike, Tamrin said that BN’s decision was clearly mocking the people of this country because before the election, they promised to not increase fuel prices; however they increased it in a few months after winning the GE13.

“Voters in Kajang are reminded to not be fooled by false promises sprinkled by BN, especially involving the water issue, during the Kajang DUN by-election campaign which begins on 11 March.
