Penang-Selangor Governments Share Knowledge on Communication Media

SHAH ALAM, 14 Feb: A total of 18 State Legislative Assembly (DUN) coordinators and staff from the Chief Minister of Penang’s Office held a working visit to the TVSelangor and Selangorkini business office today.

The visit was led by the Penang DUN Speaker, Datuk Abdul Halim Hussain and the Chief Minister’s Office Communications Director, Yap Lee Ying.

They are also expected to meet with the Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, in a tea session at the Chief Minister’s office this evening.

“This working visit is to survey governance development of the Selangor State Government and DUN as a whole.

“We found that there are things and benefits from communication, as well as how to convey messages well through the State Government official media in this short sharing period,” he said.

Meanwhile, Lee Ying said that this visit also aims to understand the process of publication, distribution and writing issued by the Selangor State Government.

“At the same time, this visit is to strengthen the existing relationship between both parties. Penang is still in the process of creating a TV programme and from this visit, we have learned how it is managed,” he said.

The visit continued with a briefing session by the Chief Editor of Communication Corporation Sdn Bhd, Fazalah Pit.
