KAJANG, 22 Mar: The betrayal and insult done by Umno-BN towards the reform icon, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, will only produce more great figures like him.
The Selangor Deputy Speaker, Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, said that people will not remain silent on the latest conspiracy created by Umno-BN to imprison Anwar.
He said that Umno-BN is actually making a big mistake when thinking that the move to send Anwar to jail is a good move to end the extraordinary influence by the Opposition Leader.
“They have made a big mistake because the people are aware that it is a lie and a conspiracy, the people rise up against the tyranny.
“More ‘Anwar Ibrahims’ will be born among the people to fight for Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s fate,” he said, greeted by chants for ‘reform’ from the audience.
He said this in front of over 10,000 supporters in attendance at the Reformation 2.0 talk which was held in the Kajang Stadium last night.
At the same time, Nik Nazmi reminded the public, especially Kajang voters, to vote for the PKR candidate, Datuk Seri Dr. Wan Azizah Ismail, in the polling day tomorrow.
“Vote for our candidate, we will develop Kajang and above all, we will continue to fight for justice,” he said.
Wan Azizah will face the BN candidate, Datin Paduka Chew Mei Fun, to capture the N25 Kajang seat which was left vacant after the incumbent, Lee Chin Cheh, resigned in January.
