‘Let’s Work’ Among the Exciting Activities in the GeMS Tor Programme This April

SHAH ALAM, 27 Mar: The Let’s Work (Jom Kerja) Programme is among the programmes available in the Selangor Ideal Generation Programme (GeMS) Tour which will be held at Dataran Pantai Morib in Kuala Langat on and 6 April.

Organised by the Selangor State Education Executive Council, the programme will be held to address social ills in society, especially the younger generation and for the development of human capital in a holistic manner.

Its Executive Councillor, Dr Halimah Ali, when inviting the public, said that the programme involves all departments and agencies at the state government and federal government level.

“Among the programmes that will be held includes the Let’s Work programme involving ‘walk-in-interviews’ for recruitment and workshops to address social ills at the district level to identify the cause and prevention methods for social ills in the district.

“The workshop to address social ills involves government departments or agencies, the Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK), Local Youth Movements, Mosque and Surau Committees,” she said.

Dr Halimah said this at a press conference soon after the Selangor Government Executive Council Meeting, which was held at the State Government Secretary (SUK) building, ended yesterday.

2.2

Other interesting programmes that will be held is the Kuala Langat Blessing by the People’s Religious Schools (SAR) and the residents in Kuala Langat, a Forum, Parenting Talks and a Scholarly Religious Forum.

Also to be held at the two-day programme is an exhibition from government departments and agencies, a beach football competition, an archery contest, paintball contests and horse riding.
