SHAH ALAM, 12 Mar: The Member of Parliament for Seremban, Anthony Loke, today questioned the spending of the Prime Minister’s wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, and her delegation to Qatar last year, which incurred a cost of over RM400,000, as confirmed by the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim.
He was referring to the question answered by Shahidan, explaining that Rosmah’s flight cost to the 4th Qatar International Business Women Forum amounting to RM426,489.46 last November.
Citing Malaysia Kini, Shahidan explained that the cost made up of fuel, RM196,614.31, while the cost for navigation, air traffic and airport ground handling agents amounted to RM229,875.15.
Loke said that the amount is a waste compared to a business class return ticket using Qatar Airways and Malaysian Airlines.
“Where is his (Najib) moral in finding a RM1 chicken but his own wife used government spending to the extreme,” he said.
He was referring to Najib’s move to buy a chicken costing RM1 when awarding the fair price shop award to the NSK hypermarket yesterday.
