SHAH ALAM, 26 Mar: All parties have been urged to take into account culture, ethics and the role of His Royal Highness (Duli Yang Maha Mulia) the Sultan of Selangor in determining the position of the Chief Minister.

The Chief Minister of Selangor, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, said that Pakatan Rakyat’s (PR) role should also be considered, in addition to the role of DYMM the Sultan of Selangor.

“Just like any other state’s government, Selangor also must comply with the ethics involving the Selangor Royal Institution.

“Palace officials have asked me if they are wise in understanding the culture and decorum of the state and the state.

“The discussion of the Chief Minister’s position should take into account the role of PR and the Sultan in this matter. Therefore, we need to show wisdom in the efforts made,” he said.

Abdul Khalid said this in a press conference after the Selangor Government Executive Council Meeting at the State Government Secretary (SUK) building today.

He said that the PR Leadership Council has the right to hold discussions on any issue, including matters that affect his position as Chief Minister.

“PR has the right to hold such discussions on all matters, not just today or tomorrow, but every week as matters come up.

“Discussing on the issue of the Chief Minister’s position in the PR meeting is not a strange thing,” he said.
