Capacity at Dams Continue to Record an Increase

SHAH ALAM, 28 Apr: Six out of seven dams in Selangor continue to record positive increases, with the Klang Gates Dam recording an increase of up to four percent in a week.

The Executive Councillor for Youth and Sports, Infrastructure and Public Utilities, Dr Ahmad Yunus Hairi, said that the Sungai Selangor Dam, which provides 60 percent of supply to the Klang Valley, has now reached 40.08 percent of its capacity.

He said that despite the small increase, downstream rain has contributed to the reduction in water release from the dam.
