Meanwhile, as of yesterday, the Batu dam recorded a water level of 78.51 percent.

The Langat Dam was at 51.42 percent with 1.00mm of rainfall.

The Sungai Selangor Dam was at 38.53 percent with 17.62mm of rainfall and the Tasik Subang dam was at 84.69 percent.

LUAS and the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MMD) informed that in three more weeks, they will continue to carry out cloud seeding operations to increase the water level at dams, depending on the weather and the condition of the plane.

The MMD Director of the Science and Cloud Seeding Division, Azhar Ishak, said that cloud seeding in the area of the Sungai Selangor dam will continue until April 21 and if there is a demand, the process will continue until the end of this month.

“The increase in the water level of the dam by one percent requires 20mm of total rainfall and to achieve 55 percent, over 360mm of rainfall is needed with almost consistent decrease every day,” he said when contacted.

Previously, the Executive Councillor for Youth, Sports and Public Utilities, Dr Yunus Hairi, informed that the State Government will continue with the water scheduling in some areas as the Sungai Selangor dam has still recorded readings below the target level.

The water scheduling is expected until the end of April if rain continues as usual.
