4 PKR members sacked for violating party discipline

SHAH ALAM, 21 May: Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) decided to dismiss four of its members, in addition to suspending the membership of 10 individuals, after the Disciplinary Board reviewed a few cases on the discipline of members.

The PKR Disciplinary Board Chairman, Datuk Dr Tan Kee Kwong, in a statement, said that the case has been presented at the Political Bureau meeting chaired by Mohamed Azmin Ali and also attended by the PKR de facto leader, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim and other members of the Political Bureau on May 20.

The four individuals dismissed are Radin Sharifuddin Mohamad Yasin from the Selayang branch, R.Kumara Guru (Alor Setar), Zulkafli ABdullah (Hulu Selangor) and Ahmad Jufliz Datuk Faiza (Setiawangsa).

Among the offenses involve the PKR election process, which is ongoing, in addition to criticising the party publicly to the media.

Meanwhile, 10 other party members were suspended and given a show-cause letter until the investigation is complete on the trouble caused at their respective branches.

Four of them are from the Selayang branch, six from the Kota Raja branch, and one from the Hulu Selangor branch. They were only given show-cause letters for allegedly leaking the minutes of the Political Bureau Meeting to the public via Twitter on May 14.
