SHAH ALAM, 29 JUNE: PKR de facto Chief, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has requested all the leadership of the party and State Assemblyman (ADUN) to respect the decision to appoint Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim as Chief Minister of Selangor.

He said, this is because the appointment of the Chief Minister is decided after consulting the Sultan.
Anwar said, it is also the collective decision of Pakatan Rakyat (PR).

“The Chief Minister position is not an agenda or private property, but is the result of the collective decision of PKR and partners in PR. Decision is finalized after consulting the Sultan.

“I would like to remind all ADUN’s and party leadership to respect the regulations and responsibility regarding this issue,” he said in a press statement.

Anwar said so when commenting on critics aimed at Abdul Khalid and urging him to resign from the position.

Yesterday, Abdul Khalid pointed out that he will not resign as Chief Minister and shall serve his term till the next election.
