BN violates pledge, abuse power of government

SHAH ALAM, 6 June: Barisan Nasional’s (BN) move of wanting teachers to participate in politics and support the party is seen to be in violation of the pledge made previously.

The Vice-President of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR), Tian Chua, said that the move also clearly proves BN’s desperate hypocrisy.

He said that this indirectly violates the ethics of teachers if they involve themselves in politics.

He said that the party could ask teachers to pick the party they think is best if BN is absolutely sincere.

“BN could ask teachers to join political parties they like. It should not be only one party and let there be healthy competition,” he said.

Recently, the Umno Secretary-General, Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Mansor, in a statement, asked educators to return to BN.
