SHAH ALAM, 4 July: There was no discussion on the Selangor Chief Minister issue between Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang and the PKR de facto leader, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

In fact, he said, the word ‘Selangor’ and ‘CM’ was not mentioned at all by the two leaders when Anwar recently visited Hadi at the National Heart Institute (IJN).

“It is not true at all (discussion to change the Chief Minister),” he said in a statement.

He said this when denying claims by a portal saying that there will be a change of the Selangor Chief Minister after the Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

The portal claimed that the PKR President, Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, will be the Chief Minister, while Azmin Ali will be the Deputy Chief Minister.

Prior to this, the Assemblyman for Meru, Dr Abdul Rani Osman, slammed the attitude of some Pakatan Rakyat (PR) members who have expressed their desire for Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim to step down as Chief Minister because he lost during the PKR elections.

Abdul Rani said that Abdul Khalid should be given the opportunity to remedy issues in the state administration and in the state’s Pakatan Rakyat.
