SELANGOR

One CM seat, many interested

SHAH ALAM, 5 JULY: The massive criticism and attacks targeted at Selangor Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim has yet to cause any pressure on him.

He said, these critics made him stronger and more committed to doing his best to serve the people of Selangor.

He commented that he now needs to work harder to prove that he is indeed the right person in charge for the number one position of the state.

“The more they attack my credibility, the harder I will work as I need to prove that I am suitable for the job. These are parts and parcels of politics that I need to accept.”

“There is only one Chief Minister seat, and that is probably why so many are interested,” he said during a press conference earlier today.

He said so after the press requested him to comment on the critics and the calls for him to discharge his duties as Chief Minister.

Previously on the 29th of June, PKR de-facto Chief, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim asked all State Assemblyman (ADUN) and all party leaders not to comment on the Chief Minister position because the final decision comes after a collective discussion and decision is reached between the People’s Justice Party (PKR) and Pakatan Rakyat with recommendation from DYMM Sultan.

According to The Mole, PAS Vice President, Datuk Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man also reiterated that the party wants Abdul Khalid to remain as Chief Minister and denied there were discussions to replace him.
