Chegu Bard: “What is the hidden agenda of Tun M criticising Najib?”

SHAH ALAM, 19 Aug: Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s criticism against the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak, has its own agenda and is not sincere.

The Chairman of Malaysian Youth Solidarity (SAMM), Badrul hisham Shaharin, said that the former fourth Prime Minister is only taking advantage of Najib’s weaknesses to attain what is desired.

Better known as Chegu Bard, he said that Tun Mahathir would definitely go back to supporting Najib after his wishes or demands are met.

“This is not the first time. Previously, Mahathir had repeatedly criticised Najib but went back to being silent when his son received an opportunity, and the latest is that he appointed himself as the Proton Advisor.

“So I think that it is the same this time. There is something he wants. When he gets it, he will go back to being silent.

“Except if Najib chooses not to entertain him, Najib may be brought down like Tun Abdullah Badawi,” he told Selangor Kini.

He was contacted to comment on Tun Mahathir’s statement on his blog yesterday where he withdrew his support towards Najib’s leadership, which he claimed to be ineffective compared to Tun Abdullah Badawi.

Tun Mahathir said that he was willing to be ‘abused’ over his remarks for the sake of criticising Najib who has never been reprimanded by government supporters.

Meanwhile, blogger Aspan Aspian also reminded the people to be careful with Tun Mahathir’s move to name a candidate to replace Najib.

“He withdrew his support for Najib, but this time we will listen to his suggestion of who he wants to replace Najib.

“The people must think a hundred times because based on what we have experienced with Mahathir’s choice, the person of his choice will be a useless leader,” he wrote.
