CM: Possibility of dissolving DUN will be discussed with the Sultan

SHAH ALAM, 15 Aug: The Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, will face the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, to discuss about the 30 Assemblymen who support Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail as the new Chief Minister.

However, Abdul Khalid said that all decisions determined later will be subject to the discretion of the Sultan.

“We will look into the process and it is subject to the discretion of the Sultan,” said Abdul Khalid when met at the Shah Alam State Mosque at the prayers for the 50th anniversary of the Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) today.

When asked by the media on the dissolution of the DUN, Abdul Khalid said that it will be discussed.

“I will discuss everything with the Sultan,” said Abdul Khalid.

Prior to this, Abdul Khalid received the consent of the Sultan of Selangor to continue his duties as the Chief Minister of Selangor.

Abdul Khalid also received support from four PAS Exco members to continue administering the State Government.

However, yesterday, Azizah announced that Pakatan Rakyat has the majority of 30 Assemblymen in a sworn declaration signed by all the Assemblymen concerned.
