SHAH ALAM, 18 Aug: The Chief Minister of Selangor, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, said that he abides by the command of HRH the Sultan of Selangor who has asked all parties to wait for his return to solve the crisis of the State Government leadership that is currently being faced.

In a statement, he said that he personally respects this advice of HRH the Sultan.

“I respect and understand the advice of HRH the Sultan of Selangor for me to meet him after he returns to the country.

“Until then, I and the Exco line-up will carry out our duties as usual to ensure that the administration and the management of the state are carried out smoothly.

“I urge all parties, especially political leaders, to respect the orders of HRH the Sultan and refrain from making statements that may invite negative perceptions of HRH the Sultan of Selangor,” said Abdul Khalid.

Previously, the Selangor Palace stated that Abdul Khalid had made an appeal to meet with the Sultan of Selangor abroad.

However, the Selangor Sultan’s Private Secretary, Datuk Mohamad Munir Bani, said that HRH the Sultan ordered for Abdul Khalid to wait in Selangor until his return.
