State Government approved RM2 million to develop UNISEL information technology

SHAH ALAM, 21 Aug: The Selangor Government has approved an allocation of RM2.65 million to upgrade the development of information technology (ICT) at the University of Selangor (UNISEL).

State Executive Councillor, Dr Halimah Ali, said that the upgrading is especially for the database, server rooms, infrastructure of server rooms and network, as well as phone services.

She said that the State Government wants to rise UNISEL up as a higher education institute that can function optimally by providing infrastructural facilities.

“Facilities such as information technology can produce the human capital desired to become the successors in Selangor,” she said during a press conference at her office yesterday.

Selangor has also approved the requests by parents for the State Government to build religious schools.

She said that the State Government will upgrade the function of the Religious Primary School in Bagan Lalang as an Integrated Science and Technology Maahad Tahfiz School.

“It will also cost RM10 million, which has been approved for operations to ensure that it is equipped and suitable as an Integrated Science Maahad Tahfiz School,” she said.
