The people want the CM issue to not affect Selangor’s progress

SHAH ALAM, 13 Aug: The people want the issue of the Selangor Chief Minister to not affect the progress of the most advanced state in Malaysia in the interests of the people.

The Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, consented for Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim to continue his duties as Chief Minister.

A worker from the private sector, Nasharuddin Yusuf, 41, is confident that the consent given by the Sultan of Selangor is the right move in the interests of the people.

“HRH the Sultan of Selangor has certainly thought about the well-being of his people under the administration of the current Chief Minister and the provisions of law,” said Nasharuddin told Selangor Kini.

Nasharuddin also described this development as proving the people’s political wisdom in supporting a leader based on the integrity of a political leader and not based merely on the political party.

Businesswoman Fatima Wati Ahmad, 41, hopes that Abdul Khalid will continue his excellence in the current Selangor Government administration.

“Prior to this there was concern, but I am now relieved when the HRH the Sultan consented for Tan Sri to continue administering and I hope that he proves that he is clean of accusations thrown at him,” she said.

Meanwhile, civil servant Jalam Sulong, 31, said that the latest development is a relief, but it may only be temporary.

“I respect and am impressed with Tan Sri’s results because his stance and style of government in the eyes of the people is admirable,” he said.
