PAS Youth asks Hadi’s assistant to prioritise Pakatan meeting

BATU PAHAT, 19 Sept: The PAS Youth representative, Sany Hamzan, asked the personal assistant that handles Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang’s diary to clear the activities of the PAS President if there is a Pakatan Rakyat meeting.

He said that the move is to facilitate Abdul Hadi to attend the meeting in order to sit together with Pakatan Rakyat (PR) leaders to make decisions regarding the importance of PAS.

He said that this is important to avoid claims that Abdul Hadi did not attend several previous meetings.

“We ask those who take care of the President’s dairy to take care of it well. If you have written down the Pakatan Rakyat meeting, do not add other activities.

“We want the presence of our leadership. We want the President to be present to make decisions, regardless of small or big, in Pakatan Rakyat,” he said at the 60th Annual PAS Conference today.

Earlier, the Sarawak PAS intended to contest for 10 seats in the State Legislative Assembly (DUN) in the upcoming 11th Sarawak State Election when the mandate ends in April 2016.

The Sarawak representative, Andri Zullkarnain Hamdin, hopes that the leaders in the Peninsular are ready to go to the State of Hornbills to help the election machinery make early preparations.

“We will be focusing on five (new) DUN and five existing DUN. We ask that after the congress, the election machinery is mobilised to help the machinery in Sarawak,” he said.

He admitted that they still rely on leaders in the Peninsular to disseminate news on the many constraints to increase members and find candidates at the local level.
