1,859 people receive LZS business assistance

SHAH ALAM, 21 Jan: As of now, almost 1,859 recipients received business assistance from the Selangor Zakat Board (LZS).

The LZA Corporate Communications Sector Manager, Norajun Ainun Mojd Hashim, said that the small-scale business assistance of up to RM5,000 is provided, covering capital and goods or machinery for recipients to start a business.

She said for entrepreneurs to develop their businesses, the Zakat assistance is being channelled in the form of capital and goods or machinery, depending on their business needs.

The poor and needy who wish to apply for business capital assistance, the requirements are for them to be confirmed as being poor/needy through census and checks.

“Applicants also would have had applied for assistance through the Zakat Distribution Application Form which is fully filled, have been in business or have experience in running the business they have applied for.

“Other requirements include for the business conducted to not violate Islamic law and should follow a Capital Assistance Pre-Approval Course carried out by LZS,” she said.
