MBSA allocates RM2.7 million to provide HAB

SHAH ALAM, 26 Jan: An allocation of RM2.7 million has been made available for the development of the city bus terminus (Hentian Akhir Bandar-HAB) in Section 19.

Mayor Datuk Zaharin Mohd Saad said that the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) is committed to upgrading public transport.

“Other projects will be continued, including upgrading the bus terminal in Section 17 and the construction of a morning market in Taman Seri Muda,” he said recently.

The HAB project is to facilitate users of public transport to obtain bus and taxi services that are integrated with the existing commuter station.

Meanwhile, a total of RM500,000 is allocated for the purchase of a community bus for the convenience of the residents of Shah Alam.

“In addition to solid waste management, public cleaning and enforcement, we will also focus on aspects of physical development, including public facilities and infrastructure.

“This move is in line with the state government’s desire to ensure that the welfare of the people is protected,” he said.
