Also the Chief Minister of Selangor, he said that he wanted all PKR members to work hard so that the PKR de facto leader can be released ahead of the sentence period to continue the party’s fight.

“I pledge that I will not let brother Anwar stay in prison for five years,” he said loudly in front of the entrance of the Sungai Buloh Prison.

He said that Anwar will not be alone in the present state and the people will continue to support him.

He, along with Anwar’s family members, including Nurul Nuha, Nurul Iman and Mohd Ihsan, stood in solidarity in front of the prison.

Also in solidarity were Selangor Exco members Amirudin Shari, Elizabeth Wong, Dr Daroyah Alwi and PKR leaders.

Nearly 300 supporters attended this programme and it was carried out peacefully.
