Minister: Kidex cancellation taken before the Cabinet

SHAH ALAM, 16 Feb: The issue of the cancellation of the Kinrara-Damansara Expressway (Kidex) will be taken to the Cabinet meeting in the near future, said the Minister of Public Works, Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof.

Fadillah said that he cannot provide any comments on the issue because it involves the Cabinet and the state government.

“I will first examine the reason by the Chief Minister of Selangor, Mohamed Azmin Ali, regarding the cancellation of Kidex which he announced.

“After that, I will refer this matter to the Cabinet and make an official statement after everything related to the matter is resolved,” he said when contacted by Selangor Kini.

Prior to this, the Selangor government today announced the cancellation of the project following the concession company’s failure to comply with three conditions that were set before February 14.
