SPECIAL REPORT: Residents unhappy with quality of paving

SHAH ALAM, 19 Feb: The present quality of road paving is very terrible compared to previously and is very disappointing when it damages and has potholes in a short period.

PKR Central Leadership Council Member, Azmizam Zaman Huri, said that the state government and local authorities need to ensure that the paving of roads, especially those using provisions by MARRIS, are of better quality.

“The paving quality now is not the same as before because in less than six months there are damaged roads, especially in Klang.

“I have received a lot of complaints from residents. They are not satisfied with the low quality of the paving.

“Why should we pay a lot but residents do not get the quality of road that they should? In many areas, the road paving is very thin,” he said when contacted by Selangor Kini.

He said that the state government needs to establish an audit committee to review all roads that have been approved, especially those that have been paved last year.

“Take decisive action against local authorities that are negligent in carrying out their responsibility in ensuring the quality of road paving.

“From what I see, there are parties who are trying to sabotage because previous paving were of quality. But starting last year, it is very terrible such as in Bandar Putera and Taman Teluk Gedung Indah in Klang,” he said.
