KUBANG SEMANG, 26 Apr: PKR is expected to hold a Lobster BBQ banquet together with the residents of Permatang Pauh this week.
The PKR Deputy President, Mohamed Azmin Ali, said that the feast is an ironic message to Umno as they did not charge the goods and services tax (GST) on this seafood.
“On Wednesday or Thursday we will hold a Lobster BBQ. We will take it to Permatang Pauh.
“We are sending a message to Umno to not excessively pressure the people,” he said in front of about 300 residents of the area.
Mohamed Azmin also questioned the extravagance of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak’s daughter’s wedding.
“When the people are oppressed, Umno leaders live in luxury. Look at how luxurious her wedding was.
“What an incredibly luxurious wedding ceremony to a point where they took 300 guests to Kazakhstan.
“Female guests received Birkin clutches. RM12 million was spent just on flowers imported from Holland,” he said.
Meanwhile, the drizzle did not prevent Permatang Pauh voters from listening to the brief talk with Pakatan Rakyat leaders.
