Civil servants ‘caught’ playing snooker during office hours & in corporate attire

SHAH ALAM, 11 May: There still are civil servants who are laxy in performing their duties, however like the proverb goes, no matter how high the squirrel jumps, it will eventually fall onto the ground, when they were caught by the Selangor State Government Secretary’s Office Integrity Unit recently.

More disappointing was when the civil servants were caught when they were idling at the snooker centre near Shah Alam during office hours and in corporate attire.

The Selangor State Secretary, Datuk Mohammed Khusrin Munawi, said that after receiving information from the public, the Selangor SUK Integrity Unit managed to ‘catch’ some government employees.

“Civil servants caught, they were busy playing snooker and having afternoon tea after the Friday prayers last week.

“It is very disappointing because there are civil servants who are still stubborn and unashamedly play snooker while dressed in corporate attire during office hours,” he said, taken from his Facebook post.

He also uploaded pictures of the civil servants to serve as a lesson to others.

Mohammed Khusrin said that the head of the department should take disciplinary action against the employees involved.

“Bad views from the general public who saw and evaluated the behaviour of these civil servants are a shame because they should be working to improve the quality of government services,” he said.
