KAJANG, 23 May: Housing developers face having their other projects stopped if they fail to complete Selangorku Homes, in addition to facing stern action from the state government.
The Selangor Exco for Housing, Building Management and Urban Living, Datuk Iskandar Abdul Samad, said that this can be done if the developers involved also have other development projects in Selangor.
“There is a lot of action that can be taken because most of these developers have other projects in Selangor.
“We can stop these projects and not issue them the planning permission for projects after this,” he said.
Iskandar said this to Selangor Kini during the Launching and Registration Ceremony for the Gamuda Land Berhad Affordable Homes in Jade Hills today.
He said that stern action must be taken to prevent houses from being abandoned as occurred during the administrative ear of Barisan Nasional (BN).
He said that when the Selangor BN was in power, also had a hands-off attitude towards the quality of the construction of low-cost housing causing buyers to suffer terrible losses.
