Graves at the border: PR forms Anti-Human Trafficking Committee

KUALA LUMPUR, 25 May: Pakatan Rakyat (PR) established the Anti-Human Trafficking Committee to express their views to the government on the issue.

The Sungai Petani Member of Parliament, Datuk Johari Abdul, said that the issue became hot and the world is now watching what is happening in Malaysia.

“PR set up this committee after what happened, specifically the discovery of a burial site at the country’s border.

“We will find all related data and meet with the government to express our opinion on this issue,” he said at the Parliament lobby today.

He said that the issue is important and PR wants to hear the government’s plans in addressing it, especially as Malaysian was appointed as the Asean Conference Chairman this year.

“We will not remain silent because the government needs to have a comprehensive plan on this issue. It is a big issue and required joint planning,” he said.
