Permatang Pauh proof that BN’s defamation failed

PERMATANG PAUH, 8 May: Parti Keadilan Rakyat’s victory proves that efforts to defame Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail were ineffective.

Dr Wan Azizah said that in addition to efforts to break up PR with a variety of issues and allegations regarding her performance as the Kajang Assemblyman have also failed to help BN to win in the Permatang Pauh by-election this time.

“Even though I, brother Anwar and PKR were defamed through the mainstream media every day and they tried their best to discredit my performance in Kajang, it still failed.

“They also worked hard to split our unity with various issues, but their accusations were clearly ineffective,” she said.

Dr Wan Azizah said that she will try to address the problems raised by the people during the by-election this time.

“We are grateful to the Chief Minister of Penang who had announced to help in Permatang Pauh,” she said.
