State revenue over RM1 billion in the first 5 months

KUALA SELANGOR, 11 May: The collection by the Selangor government surpassed RM1 billion in the first five months of 2015, said Chief Minister Mohamed Azmin Ali.

He said that the success was due to the good, trustworthy, and responsible state administration management in taking care of the people’s trust.

“I called the Selangor Financial Officer, Datuk Noordin Sulaiman, and asked how much was the state revenue for the first five months of 2015?

“He informed that in the first five months, the state revenue had exceeded RM1 billion (in collection).

“This does not need to be kept by the state government, instead it must be translated in the form of programmes that benefit the people,” he said.

This was revealed in front of over 2,000 attendees at the Cheque Presentation Ceremony for Phase Two of the Selangor Hijrah Financing at the Kuala Selangor Indoor Stadium yesterday.

He also assured that he is always ensuring that the economic management of Selangor is transparent, accountable, has no leakages, corruption or embezzlement.

“I assure that the Selangor administration, our administrative core must be clean, trustworthy, had no corruption, no abuse of power, because this government belongs to the people and must be taken care with trust and responsibility,” he said.
