Exco: Think like a statesman, stop fighting

SHAH ALAM, 13 June: Political leaders have been reminded to act like statesmen when faced with a crisis by thinking about the fate of the people.

The Exco for Housing, Building Management and Urban Living, Datuk Iskandar Abdul Samad, said that the attitude of leaders who think about their interests alone only causes the people’s issues to be ignored.

“Who will think about the fate of the MAS employees who were dismissed? Why does it seem that the GST has been forgotten while the people are continued to be pressured?

“Why opposition against draconian acts are less heard off,” said Iskandar in a press statement today.

He said that political leaders must cultivate compassion for those who are hungry for advocacy against the variety of factors that are pressuring their lives.

“The people are still waiting for defense from us,” he said.
