SHAH ALAM, 29 June: The Sungai Panjang Assemblyman, Budiman Mohd Zohdi, donated mobile roofed huts for every cemetery in the constituency due to the excessive heat and to facilitate the reading of prayers and grave cleaning.

“Ramadan has arrived, cemeteries have begun to receive guests who come to bertahlil, clean graves and read the Quran.

“The hot weather prevents from doing so, so we have donated cemetery endowment involving mobile roofed huts at all eight cemeteries in this constituency,” he told Selangor Kini.

Budiman said that they have also undertaken the Raya contribution distribution to 1,500 poor and needy people, single mothers and the elderly.

In addition, about 10,000 packets of porridge have been prepared to be contributed to the public throughout the Ramadan at nine bazaars in Sungai Panjang.

Meanwhile in Semenyih, the same programme is also being organised involving 12,000 packets of porridge to be distributed in stages at areas visited by many.

The Assemblyman, Datuk Johan Abdul Aziz, said that he is focusing on enlivening mosques and suraus to enliven the spirit of Ramadan.

“We have finished the Khatam al-Quran programme involving 60 participants.We have also organised an Iftar feast at 30 suraus in this constituency,” he said.

Johan also moibilised the Singgah Sahur programme by approaching the police, fire department and highway patrol to deliver Sahur food packs.
