Azmin: Federal Transitional Government expected before the end of the year

SHAH ALAM, 28 Aug: A transitional government is expected to occur before the end of this year through democratic methods with the involvement of Barisan Nasional (BN) MPs.

PKR Deputy President, Mohamed Azmin Ali, said that this is to save the country and revive the economy, which is now on the verge of a collapse.

“Looking at the dropping value of the ringgit and the lack of investor confidence, it will lead to the destruction of the country. That is why I am asking BN MPs to join Pakatan Rakyat (PR) to bring about change.

“Pakatan has 88 MPs and we only need about 30. Hopefully, before the end of the year there will be changes and this is allowed in a democratic system,” he said.

He said this after attending the Selangorku Purchase Special Financing Scheme Agreement Signing Ceremony at the State Government Secretary (SUK) Building foyer today.

Prior to this, PR suggested for its component parties to refine the proposal to submit a motion of no confidence against the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

In a joint statement, they urged BN MPs “who love the country” to support the establishment of a transitional government.
