SHAH ALAM, 7 Aug: Property owners in areas under the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) have been advised to carry out their obligations by paying their assessment tax to avoid additional costs before August 31.

The MBPJ Public Relations Unit said that the current and overdue taxes amount to RM164.9 million for 234,973 property owners.

The bills have been issued and mailed to owners for the second half of the year, from July to December.

Payment counter operations from Monday to Friday begins at 7.30 am to 6 pm throughout July to August only.

For Saturday, Sunday and public holidays, it will begin at 9 am to 4 pm.

MBPJ will also provide the MR EZPAY mobile counters that will operate from 10 am to 3 pm in selected areas.
