Hannah: Rise up and save Malaysia

SHAH ALAM, 9 Sept: The people have been urged to rise up and save the country back to glory so that it can be proud of, as in the past.

The Selangor State Assembly (DNS) Speaker, Hannah Yeoh, said that everyone should ensure that there is separation of power to prevent those above from manipulating and abusing power for personal gain.

“Trust me, there are still individuals who are able to raise the prestige and high value, and in fact make is a great nation.

“I also believe that there are such people in government service in Putrajaya, the police, the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), the Securities Commission, Bank Negara and so on.

“Indeed, we have to be free,” she said on Facebook yesterday.

The call was based on the country’s situation as it is facing many challenges, including the declining value of the ringgit, the closure of factories and shops, professionals needing to perform extra work and the possibility that students overseas need to return home.

Hannah’s status in conjunction with Merdeka Day and Malaysia Day also invited parents to inculcate the spirit of patriotism among their children.

“Speak to you children about our hopes and dreams for Malaysia, also about corruption and any injustice.

“Let’s work together so that our children will not consider leaving the country to find hope in a new place,” she said.
