“The people need to work hand in hand responsibly and not only depend on the local authorities.

“We are currently holding further discussions with the NGO Malaysian Association of Environmental Health on a more effective way to eradicate Aedes mosquito breeding at hotspots in Subang Jaya,” she said.

She said this during the Aedes Mosquito Breeding Places Eradicate and Destroy Gotong Royong at SS15 today.

She said that the concentrated Dengue Squad efforts in SS15 to hold gotong royongs every year has been fruitful as there are no cases reported in the area.

“I hope for the Budget 2016 that will be held on October 30, the health unit at all local authorities will be given sufficient budget to carry out cleaning programmes.

“It shows an increase in line with the increase in areas since dengue, leptospirosis and rabies were detected,” she said.
