KLANG, 10 Oct: It is a good chance for all residents of Klang when they have the opportunity to receive free health treatment through the Health Camp 2015 programme.

Its Director, Nizam Shah Allabasc, said that the programme includes 15 types of medical treatment, including heart and eye examination, a blood donation campaign, talks and exhibitions.

He said that the programme this time organised by the Sadiqh Bureau, Tengku Kelana Indian Mosque, also received cooperation from government hospitals and district health offices.

“We want to raise awareness to the community on the importance of healthcare regardless of race and religion.

“The cost of examination and so on is estimated to cost RM25 to RM30 each, and will be fully be borne by us,” he said.

He said this when met by Selangor Kini at the launch of the programme at the Tengku Kelana Indian Mosque Multipuropse Hall today.

At the same time, Nizam said that women also have the opportunity to get free mammograms to encourage early detection for breast cancer.

The programme was participated by about 150 volunteers, including 12 non-governmental organisations (NGOs) that also contributed.

Among those involved are the Malaysian National Kidney Foundation, lions Eye Clinic, Hearing Partners and Fitness First.
